Recognizing the potential appeal of the smart phones around the world, Blackberry rolled out the Curve 8520 to ensure all the bases in marketing are covered. Targeted at young fashionistas, the Curve 8520 smart phone offered by Globe comes in two good colors. For individuals with a fiery and passionate side, there is the ruby-red Curve 8520. A bright white model—think early frost—is also available for those who like it classic and conservative. Whether it’s red or white, the 8520 is a chic device that can easily slip into a purse or jeans pocket.
Globe Telecom readily recognized it has a winner in the new RIM smart phone. Menchie Orlina, Globe chief marketing officer, points out that the Curve 8520 is a complete package in its category. “The BlackBerry Curve 8520 smart phone gives you everything you need to express yourself, all in a stylish and affordable package. With new colors, great features and BlackBerry Messenger on our Super Surfing service, you’ll always be Globe-connected, in touch and in style all the time,” says Orlina in a statement
“At Globe, up to 70 percent of our BlackBerry-toting users are hard-core BBM-ers, showing that Pinoys give top props to always being in the loop. We’re here to give you more options to keep you in touch with everyone and everything that matters to you,” adds Orlina.
At first glance, there is no doubt the Curve 8520 is a good-looking device. Aside from that, it is a powerhouse smart phone with top-mounted media keys that let you rock your favorite tunes while on a beachside stroll, and a built-in 2-megapixel camera with an integrated photo-sharing feature so you can instantly send your vacation pictures to MySpace, Twitter, Facebook or Flickr.
Just take a look at the features of the Curve 8520. It has a 2.64-inch display screen at 320×240 pixels. For storage purposes, a user can start with a 256MB flash memory that can be expanded up to 32 GB via a microSD card. For typing, the full QWERTY will make the user feel he is using a mobile PC.
